Or maybe remove/reduce its ability to bypass Armor. Pre Nerf with no Faction Mod would be roughly equal to post Nerf with a Faction Mod, thanks to Double Dipping. Maybe reduce its DoTs from 0.35*BaseDamage to 0.2*BaseDamage, a 43% Damage Decrease. It's partially why Viral is so strong, but still incredibly dominant in its own right. Maybe just add more Mercy-able Enemies, trim some of the existing animations cough Infested cough, add more Mercy Mods and buff the existing ones. It staggers and it Mercies and it Slashes, yet it's still not Slash. It holds a niche as CC when inflicted in an AoE. Lots of people are asking for Cold to just increase Damage dealt, which would be interesting as it can't be stacked with Viral or Magnetic on the same Weapon. Doesn't work with AoEs and (nuking) Abilities? Has tons of Fall Off, each Stack of Blast reduces said Fall Offĭouble Gas' Range and have its Damage be affected by Heat and Toxin ModsĮxtra Damage to Limbs per Cold Stack maybe, a Frostbite kinda deal. This hurts buildcrafting, punishes any attempts of diverse and imaginative builds and overall lessens the game by indirectly removing choices. When picking Companions, we go for the one that spreads Viral. If we use external primers, we go for Viral. With the exception of some very specific or niche/gimmick builds, when Modding any Weapon, we go for Viral.
